Piotr Budzisz is the head of the Mining Documentation Hub (ODG) at the Museum of Coal Mining in Silesia, where he leads efforts to digitally preserve the region’s rich mining heritage.

Under his leadership, the ODG focuses on scanning, photography, and 3D modeling of historical mining sites, ensuring their accessibility for future generations.

The Hub operates with a substantial budget of over 80 million PLN, allowing for advanced digitalization and the development of interactive applications showcasing Silesian coal mining history.

Piotr integrates cutting-edge technology, such as Unreal Engine and AR solutions, to bridge the gap between industrial heritage and modern digital experiences.

His mission is to make the history of coal mining not only preserved but also engaging and educational through innovative digital tools and collaborations.
